I read your heart in a book

January26

Deborah P. Kolodji recently posted in her blog about the cinquain webzine she edits, AMAZE.

I love the page that explains the name of the journal. Additional pages I’ve bookmarked include another photo of Adelaide Crapsey, Billie Dee’s Beast (from Issue 13), and Carl Sandburg’s tribute to her in “Cornhuskers.”

    This is my favourite Crapsey cinquain (it’s public domain):

    “Susanna and the Elders” by Adelaide Crapsey

    “Why do
    You thus devise
    Evil against her?” “For that
    She is beautiful, delicate;
    Therefore.”
